CISPA, Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act H.R. 3523, If you were concerned about SOPA (Or
Pipa) and the US Government’s attempt at Cyber spying in the name of protecting copyrights, good news. There is a brand new bill which does away with all limits merely at protecting copyrights, trademarks, but oh yes, this bill essentially strips anyone of privacy online or with technology in any form to make tracking on virtually any agenda ok, just as long as it is to fight hacking, theft or misappropriation of private or gov’t information, intellectual property or personally identifiable info.
Yes, CISPA worse than anyone’s nightmare where anyone working for the Government can spy on citizens without warrants, track emails, phone calls, sms messages, online web browsing history and pretty much the ability for them to wiretap smartphones, devices and anything electronic, all without due process and without restriction. Oh yeah, and the infringing company doesn’t have to be Gov’t, it can be Facebook, YouTube, Google, Cisco (who built the great firewall of China) or the MPAA, Disney or Warner Bros.
Politicians like Ron Paul have come out fiercely against this saying “CISPA is Big Brother writ large” and the
“latest assault on Internet freedom,” Electronic Frontier Foundation, American Civil Liberties Union and countless other privacy rights groups have similarly stood up against this. Will each and every American speak up against this unconstitutional intrusion against privacy??
This law would also grant the NSA, an arm of the US military, unrestricted access to everyone in the US’s online use, in all forms. Last month, Wired Magazine documented how the NSA has built and is building more data centers to record everyone’s online traffic, emails, phone calls, video calls and more. Currently, it is illegal for the NSA to be monitoring anything in the US, but it does this surveillance illegally anyway. The NSA is planning to store and hold everything possible. Period. The end of privacy.
Remember, the NSA is an arm of the US military and isn’t allowed by congress to do any activities based on spying on Americans at home, this legislation attempts to undo that limitation.
This is not make believe. This is happening right now!!
This is essentially a catch-all war on online privacy. Please Yahoo/Google CISPA for more information. To provide ease of research, please check these links, video and more below.
